We've lived by the lake for 10 years with wet kids, wet lab and cat fur. scratched and bad looking. I'm so glad I tried this. It is very thin but smells like oil/paste and wax (compared to chemicals). Just pour a little on top of the faster product, load it up with a washable micro cloth and wipe the entire floor like sweeping a table or dusting. A few years ago I bought a large floor cloth with a washable cotton cover and used it for polishing after drying. So easy and made a huge difference. I'm not even thinking about a renovation. I will only periodically check all floors and identify places of heavy traffic between them. Incidentally, after waxing it doesn't look quite like old, untreated wood, but the children are supposed to make a "Tom Cruise in socks" slide. So it's worth it!
