I live in Goathead/Sticker Country in the southern California desert. In April 2019, I had to cycle a mile home in the dark after being confronted by two goats with an onboard camera. The rear tire was flat. After stopping, I pulled the big goat's head out from the front. When I replaced the rear tube, the front was flat. I ordered and installed a pair of wire beads on this Durano tire. I haven't had a flat tire since then. I currently ride more than 50 km per week. I ordered this folding version for a new set of Chinese carbon wheels at a modest price which I will receive on Friday. There are different opinions, but I hope that the Kevlar bead will be easier to mount on carbon wheels. I've seen some complaints that Schwalby street tires don't have "feel" or anything. If this is a real problem, it never occurred to me. I'm not a racer and puncture safety is my top priority. It is not interesting to change tubes day or night near deserted roads.
