These microfiber towels have a slightly soft feel but not as soft and smooth as our other microfiber towels. I love how well these fish scale towels clean a variety of surfaces by removing dirt/debris. The fabric will not scratch or mar our surfaces. The fabric absorbs most of the water on our kitchen counter (next to the sink) that is usually left behind after we have hand washed the dishes and placed them on the wire rack. But I could still see some wet spots, so the fabric didn't fully dry those wet spots. We used another fish scale microfiber cloth to wipe down the wet areas and it dried the counter. I used a window cleaning cloth. It left minimal streaks which were removed with another such fabric. I especially like using these wipes to wash/clean our car. It is strong enough to remove most dirt (except for very stubborn dirt) but soft enough not to damage paintwork. dry. In addition, they can be conveniently hung on hooks on the wall when not in use. For washing, the product description page says "Wash separately with other microfibers in warm water, tumble dry low." I wash a lot of microfiber items, I hand wash the tissues in a basin (filled with warm soapy water), rinse the soap then hang them on a clothesline to air dry. In general, these wipes clean our surfaces well without damaging them. .
