I wear size 9.5 women's shoes and have muscular 15-15.5 inch calves. I bought small/medium. If my feet or calves were a bit bigger I would have taken a size up. The varicose veins that I got when I was young despite being athletic were inherited. So I started wearing compression stockings in my mid-30s. I have some compression stockings that I just can't put on. . However, I can put these socks on with minimal stress on my lower back (I have a herniated disc that just won't heal). These socks probably don't offer as much compression as the ones I need. help me put it on but it seems to me that they are squeezing my shins. I stand in my back all day because of a herniated disc. Having socks I can put on myself makes me more likely to wear them! I've worn a lot of different compression stockings over the years and I like these just as much as I do. Like I loved everyone else. They were by far the cheapest and cutest and also offered some compression. They seem to be quite well made, that is, I didn't find any obvious mistakes.
