I bought these to remove some tree stumps that were about 10" in diameter so they were too big for my smaller blades and they worked great. Not nearly as fast as a chainsaw, of course, but I've had a saber saw before, so much cheaper and easier to get close to the ground. I was able to bend them quite a bit during use and they felt solid and didn't break. After removing some large stumps that were very hard wood and pruning about a dozen smaller branches the first blade is probably about 75% complete so perfect for a little garden maintenance or if you need to get into a tighter spot. than the chainsaw will allow.
