I live in a residential area on the outskirts of a fairly large city. Initially when flying with standard antennas I was able to fly about 300 meters, then the video feed became very fuzzy and the controls were choppy. I could now fly 1200 meters at 100 meters and still had a clear video feed and responsive controls. I'm sure I could probably go further, but my own fear is the only thing holding me back. Considering the area I'm flying in, which has almost no open space, lots of wifi, bluetooth, cellular signals, and anything else that can easily cause interference, I'm more than happy with the performance boost. I was expecting 600-700 meters but definitely not 1200+. These antennas were easy to install by drilling two holes in the top of my transmitter and connecting two wires to the board after removing the old antennas. There are many videos on YouTube demonstrating this process and I would recommend watching them to make sure the installation is correct. I was skeptical after reading the negative reviews on here but after testing them and seeing the effects first hand I can only surmise that these folks probably didn't do the proper installation and in an extremely crowded area with many disturbances live. or tested in bad weather.
