I've been using Nature's Miracle ORIGINAL formula for 25 years and it's a miracle! But this Cat Urine Destroyer formula has an overwhelming masking odor that smells vaguely like cat urine, and it doesn't work to remove the urine smell from carpet. I know the original formula works like magic, but this cat pee fighter stinks, has the same weird hue as colored cat pee (ick), and after a week the cat pee smell was still there. I used it over and over again, bought a gallon, dumped it on the rug, and ended up having to throw out the room-sized oriental rug. Big disappointment. After that, however, in order not to completely abandon the brand, I bought the original Revain formula on another section of the carpet, watered it twice several days apart and now the smell is almost gone. In the original formulation, the odor of the product is very faint, unobtrusive and, in the end, cannot be smelled at all. I would like to use the original formula first, could save my big expensive room sized rug.
