I bought a 27 inch monitor and it seems to be the perfect size for my workspace. I can easily read from side to side without turning my head. I can split the monitor layout into two or more windows, which makes working with multiple documents easier. Light. There's an eye-friendly mode that's easy on the eyes, especially in the evenings when screen brightness is at its most painful. Be sure to adjust the default settings - there are plenty of videos on YouTube about this. Get the best of resolution and refresh rate. My laptop screen (in general mode) required lower settings. I was skeptical at first but after a few months of use I'm really happy with the purchase. I hope you find it useful. Hooray!
