First of all I like the look of this blanket. A mottled gray with space glow-in-the-dark burnout is fun but somehow upscale and unpretentious. Or at least for my aesthetic. I had a similar one that I used as an extra blanket on my bed throughout the winter. A similar blanket I have has Sherpa fabric sewn to the back and costs about the same. Both versions have advantages and disadvantages, since I'm comparing them in my mind, of course. First, the size here is good for throwing, actually a bit bigger. I like it. In fact, it's just a hemmed panel of fabric. Although, as I said, this is amazing stuff. Because it's not two layers like my other duvet, it's actually lighter and more suitable for year-round use. However, the back of the fabric is not as pretty due to the shorter pile. and the hem stitching is quite obvious. BUT I agree it's nice because the burns are a bit prickly on the front but the bottom you wrap around is quite soft, the burns are visible but not clear. I keep it. I like it. Basically, I just want the seams, while well stitched, to blend a little better with the fabric on the wrong side.
