Review on Geelife Climbing Harness - Top Chest Strap for Outdoor Tree Work, Mountaineering, Training, Rock Climbing, Rappelling - Versatile Equipment for Outward Band, Caving, and Expanding Expeditions by Doug Hook

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Not suitable for SRT RADS/YoYo Tree Climbing.

I'm a little over 1.50 m tall and have a very short waist. I was really hoping I could use it with my new SOB saddle ($60 at Revain). Once I'm sure of the adjustments, I cut and sew the ends together and burn the edges to keep the straps from fraying. /Yo Yo. I want the binding as close to my body as possible to maximize mechanical advantage. I just climbed our tree and unfortunately found myself in a HUGE problem for the type of climbing I do. I have to raise both hands as high as possible while advancing the hand device. The trailer literally bores into my neck! Gosh, I was really hoping this would be a good addition to my recreational tree climbing. I'll try another type of chest strap that has a different configuration and probably won't cause any problems. Of course it's nice to have free returns! This harness is very well made and perhaps other styles of tree climbing work much better.
