I did a lot of research on my specific needs (wider feet and sweating) so the shoe had to be just right. The mesh around most of the forefoot of the shoe is designed to both accommodate my wider foot and allow for breathability. Even with the sizing chart, I had to read the reviews carefully hoping to find the right size as many people said it runs small and fits better. I usually wear a women's size 7.5 and ended up ordering a size 40. It's a bit big for me and next time I would choose a 39 but as the shoes are so well made I don't spit and decided to keep the 40 because I wanted to ride a bike. This shoe has extra cushioning on the inside of the back ankle for a snug and comfortable fit. The breathability is top notch and over time I got used to the BOA button and it's easy to adjust. You get what you pay for and this shoe's superiority proves it. Again, they could improve the sizing chart, but if you're willing to order and return the correct size, then I highly recommend these cycling shoes.
