Review on Canbus Parking Signal Built Resistors by Carl Lipschultz

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Bright lights that are easy to install. No problem with Canbus

This is a direct replacement for 2057 turn signal bulbs (and 3157, 3067, 2157 etc). If you don't have a canbus system and still have an old style thermal relay for turn signals, I would go for cheaper LED bulbs without a load resistor and replace the relay with an electronic turn signal. On a newer machine like mine (2015 Wrangler) the blinking happens in the computer. This is ensured by the built-in terminating resistor. It's probably cheaper to buy a cheap bulb and separate load resistor, but that involves cutting and splicing. Everything is taken care of for you in this system: the resistor is protected by a well-sized heatsink to dissipate excess heat. Plug and play for a few euros more. He extended the wire just long enough to smack into the jeep's corner, so I secured it with some nylon zip ties. The problem is solved. Photos before and after.

Pros
  • Powerful LED chips, 4 times brighter than standard bulbs.
Cons
  • Ok
