So far so good. After a lot of research I found this to be the best Intel processor for the price. The performance rivals the i7 or even the i9 in terms of frame rates in most popular games. I mainly use it for MS Excel. It comes with a low-profile heatsink and fan that work well. I can buy the best low profile heatsink and fan for it if I can't keep the CPU below 175°F in my poorly ventilated, tight fitting case. The i5 10400 received poor reviews compared to AMD's cheaper competitor. . The i5 10600 seems to get its amazing performance from overclocking. The i5 10500 ran close to the standard i5 10600 but without the $100 price jump. I don't need to overclock; So for my needs that's great.
