This is one of the most reliable (and best performing) jet lighters I have ever used in this form factor. Comfortable shape, good weight and very powerful. The packaging is particularly good, which makes it a great gift (just open and inspect). The biggest issue I have with these lighters (and I've had several) is quality control. Proper assembly of your lighter is a matter of luck or bad luck. The gas control knob is extremely sensitive and inconsistent, and on some devices it will not allow the flashlight to burn, even at the maximum setting. The "trick" of lighting the red flame is VERY often used recklessly enough to limit or even interfere with the operation of this lighter. The latter problem is easy to fix, but it is a sign of how careful the assembly of these lighters is applied, even if the design is much more thorough. But this is indeed debatable as the seller stands behind their products 100%. Any problems I have had with these lighters were resolved quickly and easily, very often with replacements being sent out promptly before the defective units even arrived. Jet lighter, without exception. From now on I will keep one handy and recommend it to most "casual users" of jet lighters.
