I have a huge Samsung Note 9 in an Otterbox Defender case making it 6.75 x 3.5 x 5.5 inches. Clip mount, it barely fits and if you run over a bump it flips over and it's almost impossible to get it back in the clip mid-movement. This design is awesome and you get an even stronger grip by using both on the same phone. ** UPDATE: This is not ideal. Since the clips can only be attached to the air vent side by side, it means they can only hold my phone horizontally. The clips fall out when I tug on my phone carelessly, and unless carefully secured so they're fully retracted, they slip when they hit a bump. It would be ideal if the magnetic part was a giant square that could still hold the phone, which would block the vent. However, the L-shape of this clip is key to its performance.
