I have a vibrant color palette and all the pens still work. They are great for what I wanted them for. The color of the caps is only a rough guide to the true color. Intensity and transparency are very variable. It is highly recommended to use the white sticky labels as color swatches (I stuck them on the lids). Don't leave them open and store them horizontally or with the lid down.
