I bought two of these suits for my children aged 9 and 7 and they are very thin. The suits fit great and look well tailored. The zipper and clasp are secure and everything works as expected. The suits are warm enough for Northern California but I would opt for the thicker 4/5mm if we are diving or swimming in colder temperatures. I will update the rating over time to see how well they hold up. After two weeks of use, my only concern is that the velcro straps on the neck don't fit. The "spiky" velcro on the flap that goes over the zipper puller is larger than the "soft" velcro on the other side of the zipper, causing too much abrasion in the fabric at the top of the suit and starting to pill and fray quite off. If this continues, it will cause a crack or hole. The suit must have the Velcro in the same size and position on both sides to prevent this.
