Review on ๐Ÿพ Unbranded Dog Ramps with 5 Stairs and Upgraded Aluminum Frame - Portable, Folding Stair for Large Dogs up to 200Lbs, Ideal for SUVs, Cars, and High Beds - Lightweight Design, Non-Slip Surface by Angela Fullerton

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Great idea but not strong enough

I like that they are lightweight and easy to fold and compact making them easy to store and take with me on trips BUT I have a very nervous 135 lb Great Dane/Lab mix that I'm trying to train to get really close and get in my SUV, and I'm afraid they don't seem strong enough to her. I got her to lift her front paws up the first few steps and the material in the fabric of each ladder flexed and made creaking and cracking sounds that made me think she would fall through if she climbed a few more steps. I just can't risk the boards breaking which further erodes her confidence and possible injuries. I was optimistic but hesitated to order because I couldn't tell what the steps were made of. If your dog is a lot smaller they will work great, but advertising a 200lb weight limit seems like a HUGE overstatement to me. My 25 lb Fearless Min-Pin/Jack Russell climbed and descended it with no problem. I would not trust them with a dog over 100 pounds.

Pros
  • Non-slip rubber feet and stability: Upgraded rubber pads on the bottom keep the stair stable, Aluminum frame steps and non-slip surface with paw prints make the stair more stable than a dog ramp, Car safety hooks, giving your dog and car double protection. Won't scratch your car.
Cons
  • Minor issues
