When my reverse osmosis tank was getting a little old I bought another one to replace it. It had trouble holding pressure and the leak was confirmed when I let some water out of the air pressure valve. So I patiently awaited the arrival of a new one - but despite the great reviews and seemingly great quality tank, it didn't seem to fill up regularly. WHAT? It would fill up once or twice and then stop. I checked the pressure - everything is normal. I emptied it and pressed it again to be on the safe side. There are no dice. Turns out this little bug has a little rubber valve. And my old one was also getting on in years and jammed occasionally. If you open the old one and put it back together, it will peel off and fill up once or twice. Upon closer inspection, I found that I also had stress cracks around the screws. Talk about frustrating root cause tracking, but this one nailed it. If you've got a tank that won't fill up, save yourself the headache and order one of these now - and don't forget the new o-rings for your canisters while you're at it!
