Review on Patio Pacific Small Plastic Windows Dogs by Tonya Wolfe

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Suitable for doors, steps, nets and cat coops

I have a window that connects directly to a cation in the yard. I usually leave it open so my cats can come and go as they please, but on those hot days when insects abound, leaving the window open most of the time isn't ideal. A few weeks ago I did a random search for "cat window door" and came across a couple of products like this one. The criteria I used to select the target were: - Must fit in a small window - Must have a flexible valve - Must be self isolating (door) - Must have a door cover latch. It came to this product and another more expensive one. I made this purchase mainly because of its visual appeal. Installation was a bit of a pain as my window is only 1/2 inch larger than the smallest size for this product. The door panel was also difficult to remove at first, even following the instructions. Aside from those basic issues, it works great and is made out of pretty good materials. However, I wish it had some sort of insulation to put between the top of this product and the window as there was still a tiny crack. Luckily I had a spare tape on hand. It should be noted that you need window locks to prevent anyone from opening the window. I used lion locks as they are strong and minimalistic.

Pros
  • cat doors
Cons
  • socket required
