We used these on our cargo trailer to tie down the bushes and branches we cleared from our 1 acre property. They were easy to use and held everything up well as we hit the freeway at around 65 mph. We got to the city bush, nothing fell off so no complaints. I really like the ratchet action. It tightens a lot tighter than anything you could do by hand. And opening is as easy as opening a clasp. The camouflage color is ok I think I prefer something lighter so they don't easily get lost in the brush pile when tossed aside. This is a personal choice as color doesn't really affect performance. Remember they are good for light to medium use for things like furniture, canoes, luggage, washing machines etc. With a breaking strength of 400 pounds, they are not made for heavy use. Straps that can be used for very heavy items such as motorcycles or jet skis. A pack of 4 heavy duty 10,000 pound tensile straps is about $50. The price equates to around Β£400 of ratchets so a kit like this isn't going to break the bank. It's definitely superior to our old system of tying things to the trailer: yellow nylon rope, some bungee cords, and some painfully thin cotton straps that used teeth and a flimsy clip instead of a ratchet. The straps looked like they were bought at a dollar store. Having used the tie down straps I now see that we were just lucky that nothing fell off the trailer during transport.
