Ideal for attaching items to the roof of a car/truck

Most people are familiar with them and know how they work. They come as a set of 4 (8 pieces total), one piece is the small clasp piece and the other piece is the longer (8ft) ties. Instructions are on the back. You open the clasp, thread the free end through the curved part of the clasp, and then close it several times to tighten it. To release, grasp the inner metal lever and pull outward. I used them to attach wood to the roof of our minivan and they worked really well. They are easy to…

Great straps for the price

I was impressed by these straps. Reliably packaged, well made, heavy enough for everyday use (i.e. private, not professional) and inexpensive. They seem sturdy enough for most everyday jobs. Love the ratchet and easy release (hell, wish I had had it 40 years ago when I had to hand tie multiple canoes on every trip) and easy attachment. I can't find anything to complain about, although I agree with some of the other reviewers here that an orange color might be better. But that is secondary. You…

Stable and well made

These ratchet straps have pretty much everything you could want from a ratchet strap. They're strong, durable, the mechanism itself runs smoothly and looks pretty solid, and they're incredibly easy to use. Anyone who owns a truck probably knows that once you get a truck you're officially a friend helping people get around and I had these belts just a day before I needed them! Even with unevenly shaped loads (such as furniture and boxes), everything was well secured and nothing came loose on the

Good straps for the price.

These ratchet straps are a handy addition to your toolbox or trunk and essential when you need to secure a load. We use them as a restraint system when transporting mowers on a trailer and to secure lumber with straps to keep it from sliding on a truck bed. They're only 1" wide and not particularly thick, so I recommend using several of these so you have a spare in case one breaks or gets lost. We've had issues with this type of belt wear in the past and once it starts they'll break soon so…

This is exactly what a ratchet strap should be.

I don't know how we lived without ratchet straps but now it seems like there is never enough at home. They are good for everything from helping cut down trees in the yard to storing the kayak on our car and everything in between. They have a 400lb tensile strength so I wouldn't use them on our bikes but for small jobs it's just right. Package. It was like fighting a bear to get them for free. When I did that I was satisfied. It's exactly what you'd expect from an affordable ratchet strap, with…

Expected baseline performance

This works as expected and is very typical of competing products. I like the fact that the spring-loaded "release" locking plate is shaped differently (flat and straight) than the other side (the U-curve on it), making it quicker to identify the side to pull past . , loosen the ratchet, loosen the belt. Although it's just a bare flat sheet of metal with no finger-friendly plastic cover. It comes off a little easier than most others I've used. It should be noted that this carabiner is 2.40m long

Light to Medium Ratchet

We used these on our cargo trailer to tie down the bushes and branches we cleared from our 1 acre property. They were easy to use and held everything up well as we hit the freeway at around 65 mph. We got to the city bush, nothing fell off so no complaints. I really like the ratchet action. It tightens a lot tighter than anything you could do by hand. And opening is as easy as opening a clasp. The camouflage color is ok I think I prefer something lighter so they don't easily get lost in the…
