The dirtiest new kitchen appliance I have ever bought. It took me a little over an hour before the black sediment and particles stopped coming loose. If I were to use this for cooking I would return it in a heartbeat as I wouldn't trust what's under the folded lip after pulling on the black plasticy threads sticking out from underneath. I would not recommend this product to anyone who wants to use it for cooking. . I use it for a resin curing machine with UV light. Since I need to "glue" the UV LEDs to the top and lid, I still had to clean them thoroughly. New cooking utensils are expected to be cleaned before use, but the black grease that looks like leftovers inside, outside, and under the lip roller was outrageous... like it's used to store old mechanical grease rags in the garage. It looks like it's going to work great. For my use the UV resin curing chamber as it is deep enough to have a clear bottom platform with UV LEDs on the lid, the lid is on the table and the pot is used upside down and a glossy enough surface for the has UV reflection.
