A good budget pan for people with reasonable expectations.

To be clear. This is a budget bowl. Many of the reviews seem to come from people whose expectations are way beyond their budget. Budget pans are ultra-thin and have virtually no heat-dissipating properties. They are mainly intended for storing and boiling water. I have a few of these and use them to boil water for canning, I use them as a water bath for my sous vide oven and for steaming crab. Do things like that well. The lid fits well. Don't buy one of these if you plan to make soup, gravy…

Pros
  • A versatile and durable pot for cooking large portions
Cons
  • There are some nuances

Avoid low quality if possible.

The saucepan broke a bit after a month of use. Not much either. I've used it maybe 3 times in a month. I have included photos to show that the rolled rim of the pot is split. Other than that I haven't had any problems with the potty. UPDATE: I contacted IMUSA and let them know what happened and they sent me another pot. Interacting with the support team was pretty painless, I just had to send them photos of the defect. For now I'm happy with how they handled the situation so I'm updating the…

The dirtiest new kitchen appliance I've ever bought.

The dirtiest new kitchen appliance I have ever bought. It took me a little over an hour before the black sediment and particles stopped coming loose. If I were to use this for cooking I would return it in a heartbeat as I wouldn't trust what's under the folded lip after pulling on the black plasticy threads sticking out from underneath. I would not recommend this product to anyone who wants to use it for cooking. . I use it for a resin curing machine with UV light. Since I need to "glue" the UV

Pros
  • All stainless steel Made in India
Cons
  • Annoying

Suitable for double boiler

I bought this 20 liter pot to recycle 1 liter mason jars. It was cheap and the size I needed. It arrived in a plastic wrapped Amazon box so it was easily damaged in transit but luckily mine wasn't. This is a THIN stainless steel pot. It was excellent for canning in a water bath. The kettle comes with some care warnings and tips and if you follow these instructions you should be fine. I let it simmer for 4 hours on medium/low heat on my gas stove with no damage. It heated up quickly and stayed…

Pros
  • Great for stews, lobster, soups, corn on the cob and more
Cons
  • It's ok
