I bought this 20 liter pot to recycle 1 liter mason jars. It was cheap and the size I needed. It arrived in a plastic wrapped Amazon box so it was easily damaged in transit but luckily mine wasn't. This is a THIN stainless steel pot. It was excellent for canning in a water bath. The kettle comes with some care warnings and tips and if you follow these instructions you should be fine. I let it simmer for 4 hours on medium/low heat on my gas stove with no damage. It heated up quickly and stayed warm for several hours afterward. Even after several hours of operation with gas, there are no traces of fire. Cleans well after use, can't even tell if it's been used. It had some minor imperfections on the bottom, probably resulting from the manufacturing process, but in no way affected the performance of this pot. I would buy again. The price was right for this item. I only removed the star because it was very light and I wouldn't like to put it on a strong fire.
