Review on ๐Ÿงต VELCRO Brand Iron On Tape for Alterations and Hemming โ€“ No Sewing or Gluing Needed! by Lori Aguirre

Works well. Depends on the application.

This is the iron-on type. I have a couple of fishing shirts that I bought at a large sporting goods store that have a collar that has a second layer of material that folds under the regular collar. This is to really protect your neck from the sun by turning up the collar and then turning up the second layer. The shirt had velcro on the back to keep the collar in place, but the ends of the collar came loose and stuck out. The velcro worked perfectly to keep the ends in place and to release when I need to use a second collar without exposing the seams on the collar. I don't use a second collar all the time and it's holding up well. They have survived many washes and have never flaked. I've also used them on cargo shorts that have button pockets because I don't like buttons. Since these bags are used a lot more, I could see where the Velcro was coming loose. So I need to provide some hand stitching to hold them better. So it depends on what your application will be how durable the tape is. For me they meet the requirements.
