I use this thing for gaming and it's a beast. Now I know what you're thinking: it doesn't have any LEDs on the outside, so it can't be used for gaming. Well I can tell you it can and it's great. Best of 4k + Widescreen = 5k2k The attached photo is my old wallpaper on my new monitor, lots of extra real estate! Now for the elephant in the room: 72 Hz. Are you a professional Counterstrike player? Then this monitor is not for you. But if you play games for fun, like most of us, 72Hz is plenty. Actually I was playing BF4 and I was able to shoot with a medium range scope without any problems because there are a lot more pixels that you can actually see far away. all clearly gone 5(k) stars.
