This collar is ideal for active dogs that enjoy swimming or riding in the woods. I'm tired of washing my dog's collar a million times and then waiting forever for it to dry. When it gets dirty, you just need to quickly wash it with soap and water or just dry it with a paper towel. And absolutely no smell! I also love Orange Hunters - we can see our boy anywhere! It spends a lot of time outdoors and hardly ever fades its color with wear and tear. What I really wanted was something flexible in case my dog gets caught on a stick in the woods. I wouldn't recommend using it as the main collar on a walk if your dog has been known to pull - he can definitely come out if he pulls hard enough. This is a "home" collar for my dogs and it keeps its dog tags when we are at the beach/woods etc. We use a training collar when true containment is required. Hope that helps!
