Being able to see behind the car makes reversing much easier and safer. The image appears on the monitor immediately after reverse gear is engaged. No need to run wires from the trunk to the interior of the car, greatly simplifies the installation. My first attempt to install the camera was unsuccessful, but after contacting customer service via email I was able to determine what I was doing wrong. When splicing the wires that connect to the reverse lights and ground, I didn't get through the insulation for the metal-to-metal contact. After ensuring that the areas to be bonded are in good contact, the camera signal will be sent wirelessly to the monitor when the vehicle is shifted into reverse. Joanna from Boscam customer service was quick to contact me and offered to exchange the device if I couldn't get the camera to work. In general, I am very satisfied with the performance of the camera and the clarity of the picture on the monitor. I ended up not using the suction cup mount that came with it, but attaching the monitor to my car's dashboard with velcro.
