The blanket is good quality and heavier than expected. I thought it would be more of a light weight summer blanket. However, it arrived with a stain the size of a silver dollar one edge. Rather than try and refold it for an exchange, I decided to wash it first, as I would any bedding before using it. The stain came out, but boy did the blanket shed lint! I had to wipe out the washing machine before using it again. I line dried the blanket and shook off even more lint, then threw it in the drier on air dry. I had to empty the lint trap twice, and again took it outside another two times to shake it to get rid of more lint. I also had to vacuum the inside of the drier to get rid of lots of lint too. The blanket withstood all of this without problem. Other than the linting, which is hard to overlook, I think it will be a good middle weight blanket.
