I use these for powerful attachments for large and deep aquariums. This holds up well against infrequent cleanings and a fair amount of dirt. Some foams break down so badly that they collapse and clog under the suction, no matter how well they are cleaned they hold up very well. They form a bacterial bed, which is also useful for feeding guppy young.
