Review on Detoxifying Charcoal Facial Cleanser with Salicylic Acid for Acne Control, Blackhead Removal & Moisturizing, 5 Fl Oz by Tisha Gilliland

Cleaner literally dissolves grease, dirt and make-up. Small things have a big impact. I really feel like it goes deep into my pores and cleans everything. It washes off and leaves my skin smooth, clean and soft. I tried the milky version of this cleanser but it doesn't clean as well as this one and leaves a lotion trail after rinsing. I just never felt like it completely washed away. This made me more prone to acne and when I switched to this gel version my skin was clear and healthy. I'm glad I did, especially since I have combination skin, I think the milky version is better for dry skin. I have also found that I have less redness with this cleanser which is great as I have very sensitive skin. Actually I bought it because my previous cleanser caused too much redness. I think this might be my holy grail cleanser! I also love the cucumber smell and the fact that it's made mostly of natural ingredients. UPDATE 11/15/19: I repurchased this cleaner on the 26th October and it came in a different green packaging than the usual white one and was labeled 'New Look! ' on top of the bottle. Unfortunately, after comparing the ingredients in the old bottle to the new one, the formula has changed! They added this new soapy agent called "Sodium Coconut Sulfate" (and from my research it turned out to be a synthetic cleanser, making it very similar to a traditional skincare product that breaks down sodium lauryl sulfate) which I believe is the product lathers and fizzes much more than before making my skin feel paper dry and losing moisture after washing! They also removed sunflower oil which I believe was the ingredient responsible for making dirt and makeup loosen/break down more easily without requiring much soap action. They also added a few other ingredients and removed a few more (I highlighted the missing ingredients in the white bottle of the old formula in blue and the newly added ingredients in the green bottle of the new formula in red for reference), making this product strong from the original. I'm so disappointed because the original was so perfect. That was my holy grail face wash. Luckily, I have an Aveeno face wash (an ultra-soothing, moisturizing face wash) at home that cleans well and doesn't leave my face dry. I hope and pray they come back because the original was awesome!
