DUCATI cannot program this key - junk
My very respected experienced local Ducati dealer was unable to program this key for my 2008 Hypermotard. Either the transponder chip was incompatible or missing, but the key was unnecessary. I ended up throwing it away and ordering an OEM key. And while I was trying to program it, the transponder in my WORKING key (ducati) got deactivated, leaving the bike out of service for 2 weeks while I wait for the OEM key to arrive.
