My second pair of these leggings just arrived and they seem to fit. Haven't used them yet as the first pair in size XL was too big despite using the size chart provided. The lack of elastic at the bottom hem makes sizing more important and difficult than, say, with the stretchy Rocky Mountain High Gaiters. These gaiters are much stronger and heavier than the RMH gaiters, but certainly more durable. At the same time, RMH gaiters could safely be thrown in a backpack because they were very light. "Crocodiles" are not thrown so cleverly. Having them with you is somewhat of a weight penalty.
