Of course I used it on an old pan to try and get rid of burnt fat. Started making a paste and let it stand and then brushed the Scotch Brite well. Mmm, that's not good. I've washed and tried only Scotch Brite which gave the same good results as using detergent. On to the good old SOS pads and with the regular elbows that come with them, finally to the original finish. I tried to have the bartenders clean my stainless steel sinks which are cleaned regularly but had a film of grease on them from cleaning the pan. nope Didn't cut it. Let's return to the SOS signal, which immediately removed it. I'm going to try it to keep some new pots clean and I think it's the best place to start. I just haven't seen the miraculous results that others have mentioned in the two more difficult cases I described above.
