Perfect Fit / Solved Error Code PO171

I decided to buy this part instead of a genuine GM part. My reason is simple. I have 2 cars with GM 1.4 turbo engine. This part has already been replaced once under warranty on both cars. I had to replace it again on one of my cars after about 100,000 miles. I expect this diaphragm will continue to fail about every 40,000 to 50,000 miles. My plan is to replace both of my machines with this Dorman part so next time this diaphragm fails I can just replace the diaphragm without changing the cap. I do not trade or sell our cars just because they have these problems. WHY? Everyone gets paid. It's cheaper to fix your car than having 5 years car payments. I'm looking for solutions. Dorman solves problems! It wasn't difficult work, but it does require slow work to avoid damaging the hoses and clamps. I chose the blue Fel-Pro seal. It is clearly visible against the background of the black cover. I tightened the cap to 70 inch pounds. Follow the recommended tightening sequence, then retighten all bolts once the gasket has evenly compressed. I also installed new spark plugs. I examined the inlet check valve and found it to be intact. This is also a common problem. A note on how to verify this is included in this envelope. This R&R is not for everyone to do. Of course, my wife couldn't do that. And some men won't even try. You must have some mechanical experience, the right tools, and patience. The hardest part is putting the cap back on while holding the gasket in the groove. Eventually I reset the check engine light and a few days later the ECM cleared the remaining permanent code. No more air leakage. There are no oil leaks. From what I've heard myself, I probably saved about $500 in labor costs.
