Designed for real pets or stuffed animals?!

Based on the reviews I read before buying this bag has fans and success stories. Now that it's arrived, I have to admit I'm stunned at how every cat owner pulls this off. My brief review would only advise you to skip this and go the other direction. It's just a low quality part and has some really disturbing design flaws. If you're not sure and want more information on why this isn't working for us, read on. I have 2 cats who are excellent at clipping their claws so my goal here is not to help with grooming, rather I wanted a soft carrier to carry my 9.5 lb rescue Turkish Angora cat. She hates traditional stretchers/cage so I figured having her close to my body on short car rides might put her at ease. But as soon as I opened the package I knew what it would be. It actually only has a short top handle, no strap. Neither in length nor in orientation could it be called a sling. The handle is 8 inches tall and is sewn into the center of the bag. If I wanted to carry my cat as a briefcase, this bag would definitely do the job! Please note that nowhere in the description are the measurements of the "belt" given. And now I know why. I tried it on over my shoulder and the fall was so short the bag ended up in my armpit. The strap also tapers in the middle, which also proves that it's designed for the hand and not the shoulder. Sorry to meddle, but while I wasn't expecting it to be Bjorn Bjorn, I assumed I was buying a sling that can fit the proportions of an average adult body. Second, if you want to use the front leg of the hole, the placement of these slots (inexplicably aligned with the looped side of the Velcro, known as what most of us call Velcro) is ridiculous and certainly uncomfortable. Why? Well, the slits are on the side seams of the bag, right at the front - imagine you're carrying a flying squirrel in flight. The leg openings - whether dog or cat - are a little closer in the front/chest. In this pocket, the limbs are said to be two branches growing straight out of the neck. If someone wanted this for a cat that hated getting manicures, HOW would this fixture be the solution? Now your cat will hate two things. Simply because the designers of this bag have Picasso's eye for anatomy. Once you've put the cat's paws back in place, going this far is all that's left is a bundle of stiff nylon that's rolled into the rib cage. Obviously this bag is not designed for large/heavy pets and I knew what to buy. I have confirmed that my 13.5 lb cat will not fit all the way in. I didn't expect him to do that. I didn't want to further the theme either and risk catching my tail on the bottom zipper. (This is the wearer's entry/exit point). Why is the neck of this bag designed for a tall person? He's gigantic. See my photo next to the 16 ounce water bottle. Even a sick cat would need to tense its neck a few inches. The sound of the Velcro ripping and ripping again - a very sharp and loud sound just an inch from the ears - has to be a nightmare scenario for the average cat. And if you have a long-haired cat like me, those thin, silky strands will be magnets for the Velcro. You might get out without the strangled cat because the jumping ability is so bad... but there's no guarantee Snowflake won't have bald spots. Just awful design, 3 times larger than it should be. Also, all that extra nylon gathers back around your neck like an accordion, all because of the crappy design. The bag is super cheap... but ask yourself why? Because all the mechanics LOL. But what isn't LOL is that cats are finicky and a negative experience will "scar" them for life, causing all sorts of human suffering in the future. Doubly so if you have a sensitive escape with a bad past. Don't impress a pet with this nonsense. But what about dogs? Well, I raised Boston Terriers for years, dressed them up like idiots, put them through all sorts of humiliations; They are a quiet breed and quite small, like puppies. and no matter how malleable they are, I wouldn't put any of them in this contraption!
