Advantages and disadvantages. they actually work for me.

These lights There are 2 sets available. One didn't work. I removed the backing and the wires weren't soldered to the posts, but I was able to wrap the wires around the posts with needle nose pliers. Fixed. He stepped face down on his new glasses, working with a flashlight in the dark and mud, scratching them badly. Argh. Then, even though I'm in Arizona and it's sunny all day, they turned on in total darkness and barely lasted 2 hours before everyone ran out of battery. I wanted them to light my 4 inch step in front of my house - people trip over it all the time - but 2 hours from 6:30pm to 8:30pm or 9pm if I'm lucky. I like it. So I ordered some long life rechargeable AA batteries and replaced the cheap ones in them hoping they would work. Now they burn all night. It took a lot of effort, but now they work fine. I needed a Phillips screwdriver for repairs and upgrades, and thin-head pliers. They are thin and fragile, difficult to unravel and stretch, but once in place they can withstand rain or watering with ease. And they look great. In my opinion you should buy 2300 long life rechargeable AA batteries if you want them to stay on for a long time even in very sunny places and they do. The lights didn't cost much either for a nice light effect, plus another $10 for 4 RE CHARGABLE batteries (couldn't find 2). You only need one AA battery for each solar control filament. VA has already replaced the scratched lenses on my new glasses. lol
