Much simpler than clay, works just as well. I had a friend who introduced me to him. I looked at fakes from my local auto parts chain and the quality sucked compared to Speedy Surface Prep. The generic versions used so little polymer that the microfiber was able to show through. I used to use clay bars, but no longer. The Speedy Surface Prep works just as well but can be reused for many more purposes. My favorite part is that if it falls it can be hosed down and ready to use. Tone bars are not that forgiving.
