Review on Premium Grease with Teflon by Finish Line by Gerson Lagerquist

It's a lube and it works

I'll start by saying that I thought this lube was great. I've used it in several skate and bike stores and it seems to do the job admirably (although it's pretty hard to compare it effectively to cheaper alternatives). Since I can't effectively compare its features (meaning all options are reasonable), I'll talk about its ease of use alongside the fact that it works well. First, it's very sticky. This is a double-edged sword. That means it's difficult to work with, but it's also easier to get full coverage of a given surface with a thin layer. This differs from filling and then twisting to squeeze out the excess, placing a few "drops" and using the movement of the part to gradually distribute the lubricant. Second, it has an extremely smooth texture. That means if you apply it thinly enough, the "break-in" time is very short. When used correctly, your bearings will roll optimally in no time at all. Third, dirt resistance. Despite the sticky surface (which attracts dust), it's as good as any lube I've tried in adverse conditions. This means that any dirt reaching the lubricated surfaces will eventually cause problems, but some dirt touching the grease away from the surface shouldn't be a problem. Next comes the container. This is the only real problem here. I bought this grease with the Finish Line Grease Injection and it worked great initially. This allowed for delicate application and reduced mess caused by the sticky texture. The problem I had was that after a few uses the neck of the container split and I was left with an unthreaded tube (which could no longer accommodate a cap or grease gun). It's hard to tell if it's a syringe or tubing fault, but it's annoying either way. All in all, this lube met my needs and apart from one issue when using it with a grease gun, seems to work well.
