I first received a promotional sampler many years ago, but lost it after a few moves. In the end, I decided it was high time to stop fighting corkscrews and go back to what works. This corkscrew is well made and I expect it will last the rest of my life and I will never have to worry about broken corks ever again. It is easy to insert (just rock it back and forth with light pressure) and simply twist and pull to remove an entire, undamaged cork. A handle is enough to remove it, but that's probably due to arthritis. I also rubbed the rivets. And then I used it to successfully remove the cork, which was quite badly damaged with a corkscrew, in seconds without moving from the bottle. I am very, very happy with this item.
