Review on ๐Ÿš— AIR LIFT 1000 Series Rear Air Spring Kit (Part #60755) by Nick Garrett

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Worked great for 3 years

I bought this in 2009 to replace an identical system I bought in 2006. I use it in conjunction with my original factory auto level system. The factory system used air flaps. This allows me to choose from the best range of shock absorbers. I chose Bilstein shock absorbers and I liked them. My exhaust runs very close to my rear coil springs and I think one of my 2006 bags failed because of the heat. It also didn't work in 90+ degrees. It's hot as I climb the mountain in my caravan. Extreme conditions and it failed the test. A likely reason for this is that the heat shields included in the kit became rusty and were gone. This time I made my own heat shields, let's see how they hold up. I think if I keep a good eye on my heat shields to protect them these bags will last a lot longer. There really isn't a better option than I've found, so I bought another set.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Incredible piggy bank
