I really wanted this product to work. But the first time I did simple single shots, it broke. The green light on the shutter button stays on and focuses the camera at all times. It should turn green/focus on half press and then turn red/take a photo on full press. I sent the remote control back. I will reorder to try another one hoping it was bad. Update 9-27-16 Got my second remote control. A day later I have the same problem. I took the remote apart and figured out what was going on. There is a 2-position push switch that turns off when not pressed, half-pressed (focus), fully depressed (recording). There is a plastic membrane that wears down as you press the buttons. Membrane covering pressure switch too thin and wears out easily even when buttons come in contact with it. The part of the button that touches the membrane looks like the shaft of a mechanical pencil (very sharp contact point). Don't buy if you really intend to press the remote button more than a few times.
