I've been comparing this small scale to my large Taylor scale for about 5 months. Both were on the bathroom tile floor, which is hard to find a flat spot for, but I managed. While the smaller scale is more difficult to step on, I've found that the best reading is when you step on it so that your toes are slightly off the edge where you can almost bend them around it. I would say that the two scales give the same reading about 90% of the time, sometimes the smaller scale gave a weight about 0.2 more than the larger scale. The bottom line is to always weigh yourself on the same scale, at the same time every day, in the same clothes (or without them). THIS is the best portable scale on the market! I had a NewlineNY super mini and it didn't fit my large Taylor scale so much I threw it in the trash!
