These clippers worked well for the hair between my dog's paw pads. It was nice to not have to try to manipulate full size clippers at an angle to get to that hair. It is usually an aggravating experience to work in those tight spaces. My dog, a terrier mix, has different types of hair on her torso than on her legs. Her leg, and paw, hair is much more fine than the hair on her back. These clippers would likely handle thicker, less fine hair better, but they certainly worked well enough for us.
