I have never had a desk mirror like this so can't compare to other products. I will say that the reflection is perfectly clear on both sides, much better than the shaving mirrors I've seen in hotel bathrooms. It's small, which is great - I don't want a large mirror to take up countertop space. The reflective surface itself measures 5" x 7". The base of the stand is 6 3/4 inches in diameter and the overall height from the bottom of the stand to the top of the frame is 8 1/4 inches. It also has a "rubberized" finish, meaning it's smaller and easier to knock off a wet countertop. And because it has a purely functional, no-frills design and a matte black finish, it's a good "male" mirror.
