Good quality mirror, especially for the price. A plain mirror is clear with good reflection but the 7x side is a bit inconvenient as I have to get very close to it to get a good image. The matte black finish looks good, the base sits well on flat surfaces, and the tilt mechanism is smooth and solid.

I use this mirror on my bathroom shelf. I end up moving it to the other side quite often and find it too heavy and a bit unstable. I'm afraid it will fall and break if I accidentally bump into it. I think this is best used on a table or somewhere with little risk of tipping. That issue aside, it looks well made and I love the matte black finish.

I have never had a desk mirror like this so can't compare to other products. I will say that the reflection is perfectly clear on both sides, much better than the shaving mirrors I've seen in hotel bathrooms. Pros: This mirror feels durable. It stays in place when you position it. Surfaces are clean and spotless. It feels a bit slippery on the surface. - Slightly gummed. Cons: The shape of the magnifying page makes it difficult to find the focus point. Especially if you're trying to look at your face (for example).
