Review on πŸ”§ SE 3 Universal Table Vise: A Versatile Solution for All Your Workbench Needs by Jerry Frey

Great vise, well designed jaws and clamp

Great vise for small projects you want to do around the house. This vise is the perfect complement to the small vacuum vise I used on a smooth tabletop. I had a small metal vise, but unfortunately the clamp hole was only 1 inch and it didn't open wide enough to grab the edge of the table. With a regular 2" bore and a removable bottom clamp (see photo), this vise solved that problem. Another pleasant surprise is that one of the jaws has a small V-shaped groove cut horizontally and vertically. This allows you to grab round objects without them trying to roll into your jaw. The supplied sponges are protected by snap-on rubber caps that protect the sponges from damaging sensitive surfaces. These protectors, as you can see from the photos, have a rubber tab on the back to keep them secure on the cheeks, they didn't accidentally fall off at all. The head rotates 360 degrees and pivots downwards 45 degrees around the circumference. There is a notch in the base that allows the head to rotate 90 degrees (perpendicular to the edge of the table), but does not rotate in that position. The construction consists of die-cast aluminum jaws and base, chrome steel clamping screws, a plastic lower tension knob and protective rubber caps on the jaws and table clamp. All in all a great vise for a medium sized home hobbyist.
