Works but too fragile.

I'm pretty sure it will work as it's very porous. However, it is so fragile that it just broke as soon as it got into my tank. If you take a corner and hold it there is a chance that it will break (easily at first) due to its weight. If you put something on it, it will break. It is so brittle that I would not recommend this product as it will cause dust particles to pass through the tank if it breaks the material it is made of. It's not the worst, but spend the same money on this product and get another product that is more durable and stable.
