Thank you to everyone who wrote reviews before I bought this product. thought of Revain (both same price). Based on the reviews of both products, I chose this product as the negative reviews seemed to focus on ease of use. Another product had shelf life issues. On the day I received it, I removed 12 push button switches from a clock radio that I had disassembled before scrapping. 4 connections each, i.e. 48 disassemblers. To remember to hold the trigger until I had the tip on the rest solder cup took a little learning. The suction does not take place continuously, but individually, like with a hand pump. Releasing the trigger ejects the tool in the same way as depressing the plunger of a hand pump. This reset forces some of the molten solder out of the tube. Of the 48 desoldering processes, only two had to be carried out a second time. I have never overheated or lifted a pillow. I am very satisfied with this product. My only criticism is the instructions. They are very poorly translated into English and do not adequately explain how to empty the suction barrel.
